Your Identity in Christ

Bible Verse: "But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light." - 1 Peter 2:9

Devotional:

Hello, dear ones. It’s Renee. Today, we’re embracing our identity in Christ. 1 Peter 2:9 reminds us that we are chosen, royal, holy, and God’s special possession.

Take a moment to let that sink in. You are chosen by God, set apart for His purposes. Your past does not define you; your identity in Christ does. Spend some time in prayer, asking God to help you see yourself as He sees you.

Reflect on what it means to be God’s special possession. He loves you deeply and has a unique plan for your life. Write down affirmations based on 1 Peter 2:9 and speak them over yourself throughout the day.

Throughout your day, remind yourself of your identity in Christ. When negative thoughts or memories from your past arise, counter them with the truth of who you are in Christ. You are loved, chosen, and valuable.

Surround yourself with reminders of your identity. This could include scripture cards, encouraging notes from friends, or symbols of your faith. Let these serve as constant reminders of who you are in Christ.

End your day by thanking God for your identity in Him. Ask Him to continue to reveal more of His heart and His plans for you.
