Hello, sisters in Christ. It’s Renee. Today, we’re focusing on the connection between submission and respect. Ephesians 5:33 calls wives to respect their husbands, which is a vital part of submission.
Start your day by reflecting on the meaning of respect. How do you show respect in your daily interactions? Spend time in prayer, asking God to help you grow in respect and to understand how it connects to submission.
Think about ways you can show respect to your husband or others in authority. Respect is about valuing their role and the responsibility they carry. Write down practical ways you can demonstrate respect and let these actions be an expression of your submission.
Throughout your day, be mindful of your words and actions. Are they respectful? Do they honor those around you? Make a conscious effort to speak and act with respect, seeing it as a reflection of your submission to God’s order.
End your day by thanking God for the opportunity to show respect. Ask Him to help you continue to grow in respect and submission, trusting that these qualities strengthen your relationships and honor Him.
