Image vs. Reputations

Image vs. Reputations

Romans 8:5-6 For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit. For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace.

Unfortunately, we live in a society and time where people are more focused on image and the way things appear even if it's not real.

Your reputation is the most valuable part of your existence as a human being, but many people today are exchanging their reputation for an image.

What a stark epigram! Your image is extremely shallow and limited to the perception of the viewer. When we trade our reputation for a picture, we are preparing ourselves to look back on the reflection of our life only to end up extremely disappointed.

Your reputation adds to your character; your image only adds to the reflection and the perception of the people around you.

Your reputation adds to your credibility, and it speaks volumes about your core values. Image only adds to knowledge, and unfortunately, people's perception is their reality alone.

The image is based on what you see, what you think, what you experience, and what you believe. All of these are subjective to the individual. Your reputation is built on what you do, how you treat people, your core values, and who you truly are. Choose wisely! Today is all we have!

Read Chapter 22: Proverbs 22:1-3King James Version (KJV)

22 A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches, and loving favour rather than silver and gold.

2 The rich and poor meet together: the Lord is the maker of them all.

3 A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself: but the simple pass on, and are punished.
