Finding Purpose in Pain

Bible Verse: "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." - Romans 8:28

Devotional:

Hello, beautiful souls. It’s Renee, and today, we’re going to talk about finding purpose in our pain. I know that sounds like a tall order, especially when the pain is from our past, but God promises us in Romans 8:28 that He works all things for good.

Take a moment to breathe deeply and reflect on this truth. Your past pain has shaped you, but it does not define you. God has a plan and a purpose for your life, even in the midst of your struggles. Today, I want you to ask God to reveal His purpose for your pain.

Begin with prayer. Open your heart to God and ask Him to show you how He is using your past to mold you into who you are meant to be. Remember, He sees the bigger picture and knows how every piece fits together.

As you go about your day, look for glimpses of God’s purpose. It might be in a conversation with a friend, a scripture that speaks to you, or a moment of clarity in prayer. Write these down and hold onto them as reminders of God’s work in your life.

Trust that God is turning your pain into a platform for His glory. You are a testimony of His grace and power. Share your story with others who might be struggling, and let them see the hope that you have found in Christ.

End your day by thanking God for His promise in Romans 8:28. Rest in the assurance that He is at work, even when you can’t see it.
