Embracing Forgiveness

Bible Verse: "Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you." - Ephesians 4:32

Devotional:

Hello RICH brothers, it’s Gil. Today, let’s focus on embracing forgiveness. Ephesians 4:32 calls us to be kind, compassionate, and forgiving, just as Christ forgave us.

Start by acknowledging any areas where you need to extend forgiveness. This might be towards others or even towards yourself. Bring these to God in prayer, asking for His help to forgive as He forgives us.

Reflect on the forgiveness you have received from God. How does this shape your understanding of forgiveness towards others? Write down any insights or revelations that come to mind. Remember, forgiveness is a process and it often takes time.

Throughout your day, practice acts of kindness and compassion. These small acts can soften your heart and help you move towards forgiveness. When negative thoughts or memories arise, counter them with prayers of forgiveness and grace.

Consider writing a letter of forgiveness, even if you don’t send it. This can be a powerful way to release the hold that past hurts have on you. Write honestly about your feelings and then symbolically release the letter to God.

End your day by thanking God for His forgiveness. Ask Him to continue to work in your heart, helping you to forgive and to walk in the freedom that comes from letting go of past hurts.
